ESLC on Proposed Foreign Affairs Security Training Facility

ESLC has the following concerns regarding the project:
- How the proposal impacts our easement
- How the proposal impacts Tuckahoe State Park
- How the proposal impacts other preserved lands in the area
- How the proposal impacts the community of Ruthsburg
- How the proposal impacts traffic, specifically the intersection of MD Rt. 304 and US 301
ESLC also seeks to better understand the possible benefits of the proposal including:
- Economic Development and job opportunities for the region
- Helping Queen Anne's County resolve the housing to job imbalance
- Supporting the local economy through spin off services (hotels, food, and other local businesses)
- Playing a role in national security
