Foreman’s Branch Bird Observatory
**Specific location/directions will be sent to registrants
Do you wonder what species migrate through the Eastern Shore during the spring? Would you like to see birds up close? Please join us as the staff at Foreman’s Branch Bird Observatory demonstrate their procedure for banding birds and recording their data, supporting a greater network of migration and population monitoring.
The April 18th event is the second installment of the 2nd Annual Bird Conservation Series. Eastern Shore Land Conservancy and Lower Shore Land Trust are collaborating in 2023 to deliver a series of 6 events highlighting efforts that support bird conservation on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
These events will discuss the organizations, programs, resources, research, and efforts that exist on the Eastern Shore that support the conservation of our resident and migratory bird species.
Starting in the spring, ESLC will highlight the conservation efforts of Pickering Creek Audubon Center and Washington College’s Natural Lands Project, and Foreman’s Branch Bird Observatory. In the fall, Lower Shore Land Trust will continue the tour through a bird sit overlooking Merry Marsh on Sinepuxent Bay, birding on Deal Island, and duck banding. Please join us as we tour the shore through the lens of bird conservation!
