Natalie Birrell

Although I have called the Eastern Shore my home for less than a decade, I have quickly come to appreciate the deep sense of place, community and stewardship that define this region.  I am excited to support ESLC’s work in protecting the land, the heritage and the way of life that makes the Shore so special – for the people who have lived here for generations and for those of use who are grateful to have found our way here.

Natalie Birrell has a total of 36 years of experience in the financial services industry and received an M.B.A from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.S. from Elizabethtown College. Natalie currently serves a Trustee on the Elizabethtown College Board of Trustees. Birrell is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of Anchorage Capital Group and is a voting member of Anchorage’s Legacy Funds Investment Committee. Prior to joining Anchorage, Natalie served as the COO of Arden Asset Management and various senior management positions with Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust. Natalie recently served as the Chair of the MFA’s Board of Directors, the trade association for the global alternative asset management industry based in Washington, DC.
