Kelsie joined ESLC in August 2026 as the Conservation Manager. She brings agricultural conservation experience from her previous position as a Conservation Planner at Kent Soil and Water Conservation District. Kelsie was born and raised in Fair Hill, Maryland and grew up hiking through the nearby woods and boating on the Elk and North East rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. She received her BS in Biology with a specialization in Organismal Biology and Ecology and a minor in Business Administration from Towson University in 2017. She then went on to receive her Master of Environmental Science and Management from the University of California Santa Barabra’s Bren School in 2021.
She currently lives in Chestertown, with her cats, snakes, goat, and foster kittens from the Animal Care Shelter of Kent County. Outside of the office, Kelsie is a weekend naturalist at Marshy Point Nature Center and a pet sitter. She is also the Vice Chair of Chestertown Environmental Committee, which she joined in June 2024. She loves to spend time with friends and family and enjoys spending as much time as she can outdoors; kayaking, hiking, relaxing on the beach, bird watching, practicing yoga, and walking shelter dogs.
