Staff Highlight: Grant Foster, Land Use Intern

Where and what did you study?

I graduated in May from Salisbury University with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Outdoor Education and Leadership. I have always had an interest in the environment since high school and now with a college degree worth of knowledge, I want to be able to help preserve the bay area in any way possible.

What is your dream job?

My dream job growing up was to be a Park Ranger and that still holds true today!

What has been your favorite thing about ESLC so far?

My favorite thing about ESLC is the work environment. Everyone is so friendly and the office space is beautiful! I am so grateful for the relationships I have gained during my internship!

What is your favorite thing about Maryland’s Eastern Shore?

My favorite thing about the eastern shore is the accessibility to water. Growing up in Trappe MD, I always had easy access to get out on the water which definitely spoiled me for life!

What do you like to do in your free time?

My favorite thing to do in my free time would be taking my boat out on the water with friends and family.

If you were given a million dollars, what would you do with it?

If I were given a million dollars, I would help out my family and give the rest back into nonprofits supporting the Chesapeake Bay!
