We start our Spring 2021 newsletter with the major news of the retirement of Eastern Shore Land Conservancy’s President, Rob Etgen. Rob was a founding member of ESLC in 1990 and has diligently served the communities on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in the 30 years since by advancing the organization’s mission. Under his guidance, ESLC has helped to preserve a vast amount of land and open space, has furthered community resilience to oncoming environmental changes, and has supported more vibrant and thriving towns in which we all can live. It’s with sadness and gratitude that we mark his leaving, but we’re excited for what’s ahead!
In addition to the news of ESLC’s upcoming leadership change, you’ll also find updates on preservation projects, land monitoring, town projects, and environmental education—as well as a recap of our 2020 Party to Preserve.
